Welcome to my website! My name is Simon Boehm and I am an emerging writer based in Ottawa, Ontario.

I was born and raised in suburban Munich, Germany. While pursuing my BA in American Studies and German Studies from the University of Regensburg, I worked in digital sales and marketing for Omniga GmbH & Co. KG, a Usenet service provider based in Regensburg. It was during that time that I learned that I could combine my passion for writing with my background in sales and marketing.

After coming to Canada in 2016 and graduating with an MFA in Writing from the University of Saskatchewan in 2018, I moved to Toronto to work in sales and marketing, as well as pursuing freelance writing opportunities.

My writing spans a wide variety of genres and media: from content creation and optimization for websites to technical writing, and from articles on entertainment websites to providing scripts for German podcasts and television for Discovery Germany. I have also garnered some experience in creating engaging social media posts, as well as copywriting, copyediting and e-mail marketing.
